I couldn't even finish reading. Just crushes me.

This is disgusting. This on top of the ivory trade, shark fin trade, whaling, sea horses, turtles, mantas... I don't understand why the rest of the World doesn't come together and say enough is enough and MAKE them stop.

It's crazy how it's China over and over again... just a messed up country. Between this and racing extinction I don't know how something can't be done. But kiddos to those people like in racing extinction that are doing what they do to try and save out planet from people like this.

I've often said when the real bad guys are done plundering & pillaging, we hobbyists might be the ones to help replenish the corals that have been lost in the ocean. One frag at a time.
Yeah but I'm pretty sure some coral justice warrior is just gonna say something like fragging is CORAL ABUSE! They are ANIMALS and you're all CRAZY PEOPLE CHOPPING THEM UP!

The people that hate the hobbyists don't seem to realize that we love reefs, that's why we keep them. I don't think they get that not everyone is rich enough to go on a scuba diving vacation all the time, some people just want to bring a little piece of the ocean into their own homes. And with this going on, maybe our tanks will be the only place we can find corals.

@Oscaror This is how it will all go down:
  • After the last reef is gone, Wildlife & Fisheries will raid all our homes under orders from NOAA.
  • All corals will be confiscated and are now US govt. property.
  • Some federal court orders that all seized corals are to be destroyed in a humane manner.
  • No more corals; end of story.
:p
