This is on my torch coral

Look right below the base of the torch on the left side. Looks like a worm, It has a web or string catching food and bring it to its mouth. Could this slow the growth of the coral and hurt the tank?

I don't know all the diff. species of worms and their potential harm of a coral... but i wouldnt think its bad, plus it looks to be so low on the bone of it that it couldnt effect the coral. Just my opinion
