This leather has never opened

It's been in the tank over 12months. I get polyps but never all.
Started under hd16 now under hydra32. Par high 100s. Flow good.
Parameters very good

It looks ok.
They go through a process of shedding their layers of mucus white can often build up with detritus. They look like this sometimes.
A top view and side view pics would be great.

12 months it's been in the tank. It gets its wax coat but has never open once.
Just looks like it's going to but never has

Have you tried using a Turkey baster on it and see if it sheds?

I had one do this for about 10 months. I finally tossed it.

There's no coating on it.

It was given to me free from lfs after another reefer gave it to them. Probably the reason that person gave it away
