Thoughts on lipo battery UPS systems

Hi guys and gals I started my venture in lipo cells about a year ago (I fly planes)
What are your thoughts on using a lipo battery system in a UPS?
These batteries are getting so cheap to buy now.

You'd have to be really careful with how you maintain their charge. I don't trust a lipo to charge while it isn't being watched. Gotta be careful not to discharge them too far. Do you have a bunch of extras laying around?
 
In general any lithium battery is going to be sorta dangerous to leave charging all the time unattended. Make sure you're using a quality charger that doesn't over charge the battery if you end up doing this. I don't think I'd have the guts to leave a lithium battery on a charger 24/7 unattended given their tendency to burst into flames lol.

Yes I fly rc planes and have these every where.
I use the best chargers made for lipo. I can leave my batteries connected and it monitors the voltage and charge rate. The only fear I have is when I crash a plane at over 150 mph and the batteries look like a pretzel. Into the saltwater bucket they go.
 
I had a lipo shoot flames underwater. They're some scary packs.

I shoot my bad packs with high velocity pellet rifle.
So do you think the discharge rate of 60c would work for a 24v system back up at 10k mha?
 
A 60C, 10 amp pack can discharge at 600 amps continuously. So you're definitely good on the draw rate. Are the devices designed to run at 24V? If not, you need to take the conversion efficiency into consideration for run-time and power draw.

Edit: Apparently I had a brain fart for basic math.... 600 amps continuous. C-rating * Capacity = Max Continuous draw.
