Thoughts on moving / Driving with fish

I have been thinking of possibly moving from NY to Texas and have the thought of, if I drive, move the fish to a 35 Gal Drum and bring them with me....
What are the thoughts on this?
If i put them in a 35 gal drum sealed, can that work? fill it as much as possible to try to eliminate them feeling the bumps and stops of driving?
throw all my rock in 1 drum and possibly the fish alone in a drum? I have a few drums.

I would strike a deal with a local (trustworthy) shop to house my fish and have them shipped to you when you are ready. I don't think they will live thru the drive, but if you do take them with you make sure you have an air stone running or they will suffocate.

You would also need to take in consideration that it is a very hot trip!

Oxygen and temps will be your issue more than anything.
I have heard of people doing this, battery powered pumps, makeshift tank in motel rooms along the way, but I agree having them shipped would probably be less stressful for all.

So i assume, dont seal it, so dont fill to the top...
I mean i am def not moving anytime soon... but was a thought i had.
If i could sell my corvette maybe i would be more inclined to move.

Yeah fill half way keep car cool etc
