I bought several Zoa frags from AquaSD’s last live sale, one of which arrived with Zoa spiders that ended up in my DT. A thread was started by someone else on R2R and it transpired that I wasn’t the only one whose frags were infested. A quick google search shows more reports of Zoa spiders 2 months prior to that sale. Everyone on that R2R thread had dipped and inspected their frags before putting them in their tank.

AquaSD was tagged multiple times in that thread but chose to repeatedly ignore it. Their resolution was simply to refund the immediately affected frags; they did not offer to replace the frags with a ‘clean’ substitute (presumably shipping was too expensive for them), so I basically ended up with spiders but no frag.

More importantly, they suggested by email that they knew where the spiders had come from (imported frags) but did not appear to deem it necessary to warn other people that they might have infected frags, effectively prioritizing their profit over their customers reefs. I would not go as far as saying they were knowingly selling infested frags but they weren’t at all proactive in trying to ‘recall’ the affected frags or making their customers aware.
