Tideline 62G Lagoon AIO - Build Thread

Are you going to have to remove the canopy if you need to access the sump portion?

The canopy flips up and back out of the way, so hopefully not.

I made the canopy just high enough that the Kreative Reefer media baskets are easily removed.

The base portion of the stand is basically done - I just need to touch up edges and caulk a few gaps.

Currently working on getting the canopy painted… ugh.

I’m questioning if I even like DIY’ing at all.

For as many projects as I end up working on, I keep finding that I dislike each of the processes.

- I hurried the foundation construction because I want to get moving

- I scrounged through the detail/trim work because I hate doing it and am not nearly as accurate as I feel I should be

- I drug my feet with the painting because, well… yuck.

I see guys on here and on other social media channels going through each of the steps, lingering on the details and enjoying the process.

Maybe I don’t actually like doing projects… hmm…

Looking good! How much more do you have to paint?

Thankfully, the bulk is done… I need to brush edges and details, and then caulk and final touch-ups.

I started building the stand last weekend.

DISCLAIMER
There will be no judging of my “skills” in carpentry.
I’m admittedly fast and sloppy, and do good to even get projects done.

Sadly, “done” for me is usually 85% completed.

Ha
