Are they worth it or will they trash my corals in sandbed

They'll probably crawl over some corals if they are on the sandbed. Mine goes around usually, but not always

Look at what type of corals you have on your sandbed (e.g., plate coral), and how they are arranged, and then ask 'What if a mini bulldozer comes through'? I would think you'd be OK with most things.
