Just found a tiger tail in my gyre. I’ve had it 10 weeks. I see it out once in a while, kinda like my fire shrimp. My LFS a lot of clicks away said they are safe. My first question was what if it gets in a power head? I was assured they are not toxic. I’ve since done some reading up on them. Looked at a post on this forum and I guess they are toxic when injured or stressed. I’ll keep it short. I see some slight movement. About 1/3rd was inside gyre. What’s my next move. I can do a water change, everything at the moment is normal. I think its alive still.

Tiger tail survived being sucked into a Maxspect gyre. Think I found it before it could really go through the meat grinder, and gyre was probably on an interment flow. Put the tiger tail in my sump refugium which has sand and a side with mud. Nothing abnormal with other tank inhabitants.
