I had no problems getting Oreni through QT with copper power and NitroF. He also looks real good in well lit tank. He’s currently in 55g QT for extended stay but will be going into 240g reef soon. Good luck.

i cant think

Why? Is it bc of their size?
They’re generally more bottom dwelling than other tilefish are and aren’t quite so skittish.

They tend to spend more time in the lower half of the aquarium and are more likely to dart into a borrow or rock when startled Vs jumping out. That’s been noted by others as well who have kept them and other tilefish. In my case, I do have a lid on my tank but have never observed him trying to jump although they do come up past the halfway mark for food.

I’m aware that this is thread is over a year, but what do my LFS is selling me two for a thousand. What do they eat and what’s the ideal temperature for them… anything you can share would be appreciated. I feed 3-4 times a day, all frozen mysis, brine, coral reef food, etc.

thank you in advance
