Time to build a 120g

On low, the pump is just a trickle. It actually is the same rate that I get when siphoning new saltwater into the sump during water changes. This really helps when doing weekly water changes. I have to say that the little extra I spent for the DC pump was well worth it.

Superman Monti! Love this coral!

The stand is awesome...love it! If I may ask how much was the stand and how long did it take Bryan Jernigan to build. I'm looking forward to a new build soon and might just have to do a road trip up to Asheville to visit with Bryan.

Took Bryan about two weeks to build it. I had him build me some other items for our home, so it was a package deal. His work is absolutely amazing.

I have a controllable return pump too. It's the Tunze silence pump, can't remember the model number. I would like it to pulse using the Tunze pump controller so I can have more random flow in the display tank.

I have always thought that a controllable return pump with a pulse like you said would be more efficient than having powerbeads. Would be much more simple to have a programable return pump and ditch the powerbeads. Would look better too!

Yes it does a good job but unfortunately it's not enough circulation in the DT. I also have a Tunze 6095 powerhead on the same wavemaking controller as the return pump. When the 6095 is on calm night mode, the return pump is still going full bore and the two make a nice balance.

Yellow millipora I got two weeks ago. It is still more of a green tint. Any advice on how to get the yellow to come out?
Got a bonus acro crab living in it!

Tested water today.
Temp 79.3
pH 8.1
Ca 440
KH 5
Mg 1260
Nitrate 0
Salinity 35

I need to bring up the alkalinity. Any suggestions would be great. From what I have read on the subject, what I should do is lower the amount of Reef Fusion that I dose everyday. The idea is that if I lower calcium the alkalinity will come up.
