Hey everyone. I have had a blue eye kole tang in my 75 for about 8 months now. It is completely healthy, eats everyday, no aggression, but it is still extremely timid. Is there anything I can do to get it out more, or could this be because a 75 is too small?

Could be or it has difficulty acclimating to captivity. My Yellow eyed kole tang is very timid as Well but alot better than it used to be, but it took 6 months and i keep mine in a 142 gal which could perhaps make a easier transition compared to a 75g but your tank should be big enough for one.

With that Said, its easier if you to start out with a juvenile kole tang to adjust to the recommended bare minimum tank for one.

But for now just keep doing what you are doing and perhaps one day it becomes very tame 😊

Your fine with the size of tank (barely) but time should take care of things. I had a yellow tang in a 75 myself. S/he was pretty active from the get go but liked the 75 just fine.
