Tiny little blue hippo tang

Has anyone seen a blue hippo tang this small? It's in the box cause I got a very mean clownfish in this tank so I'm keeping the tang safe from her

honestly if it gets comfortable in your tank you only got a couple months, once they get comfortable they need a lot of swimming space.

Yeah, they sell them young like that. They're such cool fish, I empathize with wanting to have one, but in my opinion I would see if the store would take him back. He's going to outgrow your tank within six months.

Didnt get it from a store got it from my supplier along with a few other fish

I mean if it lasts a month with u its basically quarantined just not in copper, so you got a higher chance of someone buying him I guess

Yeah it ain't on copper it's in my reef tank. If I sell it it'll have to be local I wouldn't ship it again

The suggested minimum tank size for a hippo tang is 180 gallons. It is not a matter of if you will need to sell or give away the fish. I'm not as fanatical as others, if you had a 200 gallon tank, and you kept a hippo tang in a 24 gallon until you decided it needed to move, that would seem ok to me. But the reality is that unless you have a 200 gallon tank on order already, you're going to need to give it away.

My LFS has 3 this size.

And as stated your tank is too small for the hippo.
