Hello, guys I recently bought a holy grail micromussa, and really wanted some tips on caring for it. Right now it’s at the bottom of innovative marine 25 lagoon with an xr15 lighting it at about 40% power. It’s small ,but I felt like I got a good deal and like what it could be.

Feed it. (Light and nutrition)
Keep your parameters stable.
And the final trick, ( which no one else on here will share with you, except me is to)
Pray.

A frag that size will take awhile to show the potential you are speaking of. It takes a lot of time and persistence to see it flourish. Relax and enjoy the journey!

Anyone else got more practical help for micromusa cultivation? Help a fellow Reefer out! :)

It’s a beautiful specimen. Gl.

I will be feeding it I polyp labs reefroids. I definitely will enjoy the journey!!! How hardy are they by the way?

Feed lightly, but regularly, lower light is best for Micromussa with moderate currents for these slow growing corals.

Every time I feed my frags patience and good maintenance they take off. As soon as I feed them some impatience, they start to shrivel up and die. ;Sour

Jokes aside, after all the feeding, water quality, etc etc, it takes time.

I had very good success getting some acan's to finally grow by feeding at night. I mostly feed during the day but man..... if you can target or broad cast some reef roids and target feed mysis late at night long after lights out, they'll love you.

How lightly? Should I follow the recommended for reefroids since this is a 25 gallon tank or should I do half of the recommended?

It’s a rainbow acan I don’t mind feeding at night at all any recommendations on how much exactly?
For best growth with acans target feed mysis at night. One mysis per head twice a week. Make sure your mag is above 1350.
