To catch a fish

What is the best way to catch a fish in a reef tank? Any ideas would help. Oh and I don't have a trap but I did make one out of a Coke bottle.

I've used the coke bottle trap successfully. What fish are you trying to catch?

Coke bottle trap, feeding with a net, distracting with a mirror, small hook and line.

At night if you know, and can access their sleep spot. If not, use some eggcrate, zip ties, and fishing line to make a trap with a flip up door. Works great. Side note, don't feed the fish at all besides in the trap. Give them 2 choices, starve or go into the trap to eat.

It was a clownfish and all I did was put a net in then floating food and boom!!!got him [emoji41]

Hardest part for me is waiting for everyone I don't want to get out so I only pull it out with the one I want. Oh and to hold it down at the bottom I use a small piece of live rock and put food in it with the turkey baster. Also only feed from it, starve or go in.
