So I have a 40g reef aquarium. I have about 10-14 snail of witch I know three are turbos, I got ten smaller astreas aswell. I’m thinking of adding about 30 more to have a solid clean up crew in the future. The tank is cycled an I do have a touch of diatoms here and there I’ve managed to control it. Would adding 30 more snails be ok?
20Astrea snails snails
5 Nassarius snails
5 Cerith snails
5 ninja snails . I also have one skunk cleaner shrimp, male fire blenny, two clowns and a tamino surgeon. Even tho lfs said it was a tang I’m not 100%

so with that said I’d love to hear some opinions!

Btw you have a sand bed the best snails you can own after you introduce fish is about 10 tiger or fighting conches save you vacuuming your sand bed every couple days!
I like that CUC a lot, but that’s a lot for that size tank right? …..After looking you have a lot of sand area. Which is nice. In my 55, I have 110lbs of lR +? Base rock ? (At least 20)…so I don’t have much sand room in it. But I had 2 conches and I felt they were limited to available sand. They do clean glass and LR but don’t climb.

Not sure I keep 10 conches happy in my 300 gallon but it only has a 6’ square sand bed minus LR so maybe a 3’ foot sand bed and they have been in there for a year his tank floor is bigger than mine as I’m 36” x 36” square and 48” tall yeah?

I’m noticing lots of baby Limpets recently, hoping it was their annual reproducing time and doesn’t happen much.
