I'm going bare bottom with a tank and currently painting it, should I paint the bottom black like the back or leave it transparent? This is just a frag tank so no rockwork will be in the display.
I would just paint the bottom, but I'm using one of those rod stands and will be able to see the sump through the bottom of the tank, just wanting to know everyones thoughts :)

It just up to you. If you dont mind the light shining thru the bottom Id leave it but if you dont paint it.

I dont think it would matter but if running a sump if you dont paint it, it could cause algae to grow in the sump

Lol I was thinking the same thing when I read his original post. I wouldn't want the light shining through under my sand into my sump.
