New tank will be purchased for my stand.
2000 x 650w x 600h

Stand is 2400 long, so 200mm clearance on each end.
(small tank got laughed at)

That means I could do a see though / clear back of the tank peninsula tank.
I have a 2400 modular marine overflow on order which is 609mm.

15mm glass thickness x 2 = 30mm + 609mm overflow width = 639mm
Tank width is 650mm

I have NO room for my returns on the end of the tank, unless they are under the over flow.
Are there other options for overflow placement.
There will be 200mm on the end of the tank for plumbing of the overflow... returns?

I quite like this idea and have 2 days to decide, other wise back to over flow in the middle of the back of the tank, and black paint like normal.
Just thinking about something different.

And yes cleaning the rear panel will be a pain if I go this route.

So Questions are:

1) Would you do a peninsula reef tank against a wall ?
2) Is there another return option?
3) Clear / see through rear of the tank... to much work?
4) Flow is an issue, most likely go with 2 x Tunze - wall end, and gyre on the viewing end...

Any way just an idea - I have two days to decide all comments greatly appreciated.!!!!
Thanks

1. Yes.
2. A center rear return is probably your best option. It means it's not actually a peninsula tank anymore, but that's just symantecs.
3. Black adhesive on the back.
4. Not sure the size of the tank or glass thickness, but you could look at some Nero 5s or MP10/40s alpng the back.

There's a YouTube channel you should check out called Parker's Reef. The guy has an awesome 400-gallon dream aquarium, but the location he placed it in is identical to yours. So you can get some ideas on how he configured his overflow, what he went with for wavemakers, etc.

OK - this is the plan.
78l x 24w x 24h - 190G approx.

Over flows - 2 x 1200 Modular Marine over flows with low profile external box.
So two over flows - 1200 Modular marine each about the 1/3 mark.
paint back Black...

Sump size - what is recommended?
What return pump?
Sump Flow rate?

I was told by LFS to use 2 x 8000l/hr return pumps.
WOW that is a lot...
Really that much grunt?

Looking at

Ecotech Marine Vectra M2 DC (Mobius) x 2...

Any good?
Thanks Again...

Oh and ordered my tank today!
