Toadstool getting nipped or something else?

I've had it for a year now but the white is new, haven't seen anything nipping but parameters haven't changed. Hard to believe its bleaching from light as its slowly climbed up the rock to where you see it now. Should I cut off the white areas incase it spreads?

Do you have fish big enough to leave bite marks that big?
If its not being nibbled on, then I think the light is too low. It is really stretching for more light. Have a look at toadstool pictured online, you will notice the stem should be short and fat, not elongated and skinny like that.

No need to cut the white off IMO, if the coral is healthy it should regenerate.
