Toadstool healing time?

Hi All,

I have a large Japanese neon toadstool. It was getting too large so I had to frag, trimming off the edges. I did this about a week ago. The frags that I kept have seemed to heal up and are starting to extend their polyps, while the large toadstool is still retracted. Does anyone have experience on how long it typically takes toadstools to heal from fragging? It has also recently gotten a bit of a waxy sheen to it. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Waxy sheen usually means shedding for new growth

The waxy sheen is a natural process that leathers use in order to rid their surface of debris. They will also do it when fragged. Just part of the healing process. Give it a few weeks and it will be fine.

Mine have shown polyps within a week of fragging.
