Everything at the moment is fine I’m made up with all the extra help from R2R really made up what I’ve accomplished.but this thing ain’t opening there’s no waxing to it even done turkey blast nothing there.it just won’t open

At one point I seen it try but nothing since

The only thing I can thing of is a larger water change than I’ve being doing because everything else is fine

5-6 months in your tank? Has it ever had its polyps out? I would say it prefers medium light and flow. Maybe you can try to enticing its polyps out by feeding some kind of powered coral food.

I do admit since I did the turkey blast even though there was nothing there does look a lot better

If the retraction is not because of a shedding period then I’d go with @Mr. Mojo Rising first and see if you can entice it. Mine is on the sandbed with medium flow, obviously lower lighting, and is flourishing. So another possibility is yours just may not like its location.

At one point I have seen it open I’ve been using Reef-Roids twice aweek

But before I started using Reef-Roids it definitely looked a lot better definitely

How long has it been closed up? I've had mine close for a month and look dead at times. I assume shedding but I don't always see a lot coming off.
I see what looks like polyps on yours so I would keep blowing it off. I've gotten in the habbit of blowing my large one off daily and its seems to be happier than when I wasn't. Its especially helpful when shedding.

Yer I blow off today even though there was nothing there definitely looks a lot better than it did best to watch next couple days

Have you increased water flow and maybe moved up a bit to get some more light...(I'm not a huge fan of blue lights for softies)....its not dead...but needs some help LOL.

You might have to put some gloves on and lightly rub your fingers on the toadstool to help it shed.
