Toadstool help

Hello my toadstools never really open up . I had them for about 1 month and the stocks look big and healthy and they look strong the only problem is they never really fully extend . Is it maybe too much flow? To much light? I do weekly water changes and barely have coral so I’m sure nutrients isn’t the problem. ( I have started trying to go biweekly water changes so maybe that’s it?) also my heater just turned 1 year old so maybe that’s it?

Pics would help as well, I’ve noticed my toadstools get puffier when I keep my nitrates a bit higher than normal. Give us a better idea of your system too as far as lighting and what kind of flow you have

It can be for any number of reasons. If you can you share some pictures (in white lighting no blues) and list your parameters and type of lighting, it will help us to help you

Small updated I moved the coral to a place with almost no flow and low light and it’s looking the best I’ve seen in a long time. Will be moving the rest of my toadstools over there as well to test this theory
