Hello, still learning about a Toadstool Leather I purchased about 3 weeks ago. It's been looking really good, only closing at night or when my shrimp is near by. Today is the first time it's been closed for a long period of time, going on maybe 4 or 5 hours, it was ipen this morning. (Probably upset the Chiefs won). I haven't checked parameters yet, other than my salinity, but how long would it have to stay closed before you start to worry?

Thank you,

Thank you,
Never worry. The universe is unfolding exactly as it should.

Keep an eye on it. I think it's going to get ready to shed

it'll be fine, they usually will close up when crabs start touching a bit too much, but it's all good for keeping them clean. They do sluff off layers of a skin like substance to cleanse, which can make them grumpy for a few days
