Todds torch

Saw a todds torch up for auction on a fb page I follow and was wondering what's so special about todds torch. What makes it a todds torch. Why isn't it just a green torch. How does one know they have a todds torch if they bought it from a place that didn't have a name for it. Do I have a todds torch unknowingly. Green torch with blue tips. Can someone explain the hype about the todds torch to me please

I have never heard of it. Maybe its like a local reefer or something. Looks like a typical torch. Nothing special or rare or hard to get from the pic. Very pretty though. I would buy a coral for the looks and not any name.

Okay...I had to google it and apparently it is a thing. Seems like it was popular a few years ago. Sounds like it's just a really bright green torch but sounds like they get crazy extension. NY roots and sounds like without lineage, it's tough to tell. Sounds like lots of fakes out there. Really cool though...

So I found out the what the story is with the todds torch. It's a very bright green torch with blue tips that a doctor in Rochester ny had that looked like no other green torch. And he liked giving away frags of it so when people saw it they would always ask is that todds torch and so the name stuck. It is only a New York thing and has never managed to make it around to other places which is why not many people know what it is. And being from New York I had to pick one up because it has a cool back story and I like thing like that. I'm told it doesn't look like anything else. The colors are crazier than just a plain green tip blue torch. So well see when I get it. I'll post pics

I've seen this coral at My Reef Creation in Buffalo, NY. And it is awesome!! I've personally never seen a torch that is even close to that color.

Please post pictures. I picked one up too, but it doesn't look like anything I've seen online. It's definitely not green in person. I have it next to my Hellfire, Dragon Soul, and NY Knicks for comparison. Does yours look like this? Mine has yellow streaks. Bought it as an OG Todd's torch. I was told there are a lot of fakes out there, but once you've seen an original, you can tell it's special. Definitely the brightest torch in my collection.

here is a pic from ARC in NY they have the og Todds straight from DR Todd, sold out at the moment but it's closer to looking like a ASD holly grail than just a regular green torch very bright in color.
