Hey folks,

I've had torches for over a year now and never had much of an issue..
Yet yesterday, I noticed one of my torches receding and some polyps in the water column.

There was some sort of film(I guess?) around it so I did a 20 minute dip, scrubbed very gently that film off and it seemed okish at end of day..

Today, that film is back and it's not looking to good..

For reference, my alk is at 9.02 (ranges between 8.7 to 9), calcium at 420 (ranges 405-425) and magnesium is at 1450 (ranges between 1420-1460).. No3 at 2.4 and Po4 at 0.04...

Any thoughts?

Ps: all my other torches are fin and extended..

Your torch is highly sick and likely has internal infection.

It has “popped” tentacles. I have only seen this in advanced stages of bjd

Bjd also advances very rapidly, but usually is a symptom of something else. Usually infection of some kind. It can also get in your water column and affect healthy torches.

Looks like brown bjd to me. You may be able to use a KFC dip and stop it.

Appreciate the help, I've never seen it happen before.. Torch out and in a dip.. Let's we what happens.

Not holding my breath.
