Good reefing, everyone!

The topic is quite frustrating!

I been reefing for over 9+ years, I can clearly say I can be count on kinda within advance reefers.

However, since last year some issues with tanks started to show up not only me but manys of my folks around.

Begining of the May I had sudden torch dragon tamer colony wiped out over night which was around 50+ heads. Following other colonies receding the flesh. Following that, some of other torches has shown local tissue loss on the flesh. The tissue is still healthy but somewhere on the middle there are lost tissue. I will add pictures later on.

Meanwhile I been looking for what is could be wrong? Heard some folks had smilar issues. I went back on my everyday written reefing notes where I found only change was I dosed MB7 from the new batch. Following that knowledge, shared to my folks whereas they found out also they dosed new batch of MB7!?

Stopped dosing it for 4 months where all torches recovered tissue again, however the curiousty of confirming or finding out the true has lead me to try again MB7 by controlling everyday Po4, No3.
I dosed 1/4 MB7. Not soon, but in 15 days I started to see tissue loss again and lost around 6-10 heads. The Po4 was dropping sudden, eventhough I tried feeding heavy it did not help at all. confirmed again with folks that they also had tissue loss. I have not seen any euphyllia eating flat worms ever in my tanks, neither my folks are.

Parameters:
Kh 8,5 always stable,
Ca 450 stabla
Mg 1450
Po4 0,03-0,07 ppm
No3 13.6 ppm
TDS 0
Tank is around 4 years old.

Wonder if anybody also had smilarity? I am not going to use any MB7 until I am %100 sure.

First time I am hearing this. I dose mb7, PNS Bio, AF Life Source and Dr Tim’s eco-balance routinely and none have caused issues for me.

Possibly contaminated bottle?
Contamination perhaps possible. I used to use it without any issues back then.

I have dosed MB7 several times over the last 6 months and have not had losses like you describe.

I'd certainly toss that bottle, but I do not believe there is anything inherently wrong with MB7.

Curious, with an established tank, why are you adding it? I was doing it to try and combat dinos.

I sometimes add it after WC for keeping nutrients low

Interesting. I’ve been using MB7 to reduce Po4 and algae. No tissue loss except my zoas and Xenia looking weak. Can’t say if that’s due to MB7 or other parameters as my Ca and Kh have also been low. No3 3-5, Po4 .07-.13, Kh 7.4

Technically my levels aren’t that far off but can’t get rid of this algae on the rocks. 3 year old 27G nano. Wondering if MB clean is a better option for me. Any expertise appreciated.
