Is the torch the only coral having problems opening up and extending? Also, the two heads that do open up extend fully?

I've had a torch come back from that condition and worse. Any brown stringy stuff coming from the heads?

The torch is my first coral it's the only one in the tank I also have two clowns and a cuc. But the two heads do open up fully and extend . No brown stingy stuff at all as of yet.

They also extend for a good while them close up them extend again

Just keep your eye on it. It was beat up when you got it and now it's acclimating to a new system. It might take a month for it to recover and stabilize but I think you'll be fine. It's stressful I know, especially being your first coral. But it is opening and that's a good sign!
