Hello,

Please see the below video

My torch coral has twisted, wrinkly tentacles and I'm not sure why it is like this? Does anybody know? My other torches are fine as you can see in the top of the video but this one has always been like this? It was fine when I bought it but as it's grew it's gone curly

Move one of them. Frogspawn and hammers are okay next to each other and can touch each other usually with no issues. Torches need to be separated as they will become aggressive towards either.

Okay, thanks for this I was planning on a euphyllia island but I guess it'll just have to be a torch island and the frogspawn can go elsrwhere

Mine is curly too, the big green one. Dunno why it doesn’t seem to react to changes in flow and all my other torches look normal and great

Boy, you guys have some amazing euphyllias! I own a dragon soul too, it was standing next to a frogspawn (like 3-5 cm) for 1-2 months. i didnt notice anything curly though.
I moved it (frogspawn) to another tank in the meantime. maybe it takes more time then 2 months for them to curl. have a look:

Do you know what your Nitrate level is at? I got this torch from a seller and it was crinkly. Here are pics from when I got it. Overtime, it straighten out like a normal torch. The seller follow-up months later said his is back to normal now after lowering his NO3. He didn't tell me how high his was. But my NO3 is 15-20PPM.

It was in my EVO 13.5 which got neglected for a few months whilst I was setting up my XL 300, my nitrates at the moment are about 3ppm and phosphates are maybe 0.2

Be interesting to see now that the nutrients are under control, if the tentacles straighten out over time. Keep us posted.

To be honest, I don’t really care about the clove. The clove grew there so I guess it’s fine with being stung? The zoas were only there for a second because I needed a picture to sell them :)
