This morning I noticed my torch was considerably smaller. Typically it is very thick with tentacles reaching 6-7" long and today they are barely 2" I noticed a thick soft tissue at the center of the mouth which then had me rotating the torch to see all sides. thinking a pest may be ticking it off and noticed the white tissue. Not sure if the pest are my clowns that are constantly inside of it ticking it off now.

Not sure if i should take out and dip or just continue to monitor

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Tank Parameters as of this morning
alk: 9.4 ( varies from 9.1 to 9.4)
phos: .11 (varies from .05 to .15)
nitrate 16.9
calcium 440 (consistent for months)
magnesium 1350-1400 consistently
SG 1.025

The full tank pics are from about a week ago when it in much better shape

Sorry to inform you but your torc looks to be in bad shape. It doesn’t seem to have a flesh band. A healthy torch should have at least an inch running down the skeleton. How long have you had it? What are your parameters?

Id say that last pic is your possible issue. Clowns may be looking to lay eggs.
I was worried they might tick it off enough that it gets injured. 3 BTAs in tank and they live in torch 90% of time. Wondering if i relocate the torch they may leave it alone. Would any type of dip help? iodine/coral rx or something else?

iodine maybe. Protecting it might be the best and only option. I've seen them come back but I've also lost them from that point.

Looks like death by cuddle :(
The clowns are probably annoying your torch to death.

Also how long have you had this torch?

Sorry skipped over your parameters, looks good. Doesn’t explain the lack of flesh band. Mine will get the bubble and look bad during a split.

Been in tank for about 3 to 4 months now. Clowns been hosting it since the very beginning.

Did an iodine dip and relocated to a different area. Hopefully it recovers and they leave it alone.

Yea if its been doin well for a few months i'd look at the clowns

Their propensity to host wiggling things is the reason i don't keep clowns anymore, oh and the fact i got tired of getting bit lol

Hopefully they lay off the poor thing! Good luck!

My clowns are hosted by my duncan and fortunately it doesn’t seem to mind. But the clowns seem dismayed when it closes for the night.

Ive been able to keep the clowns out of it by relocating the torch. I took some new top down pics today and noticed the bubble kinda changed. Is this what they look like when splitting?

Thanks

Not usually what they look like while splitting.. it almost looks like a gaped open mouth..

Not dead but not out of trouble! Keep the clowns off it and hopefully it'll be okay

Looks like the polyp is getting ready to bail out.
Unfortunately it has been getting worse quickly. I put it in an acclimation box to ensure it was being left alone a few days ago.

Is there anything I can do to try and save it? Was such a nice torch would hate to lose it.

Yea that's polyp bailout, at that point theres nothing left to do.

Now my only concern is that most LPS bail when they HATE the water they are in. Had any recent changes to water chemistry?

Chemistry has been pretty consistent for a few months now per my op. The only thing that changed was how much my clowns were in it. I think i waited too long to relocate the torch mostly due to when it was healthy it was 6-8" long and would be in range to sting too many other corals.
