The mouth is a solid dark green/blue. The tentacles are bright gold/yellow.

Green streaks is indo rainbow gold (CC 21 Tails). Without would be a Hellfire per my understanding. Pic is CC 21Tails circled, Indo Gold colony in back and Hellfire to the left for comparison.

I have both a hellfire and cc 21 tails and they are very different from this one. This is much brighter and the mouth isn’t the same color. Both 21 tails and hellfire are partially purple. This one has no purple.

Right. I was just complaining about the lack of standards naming lol. My Hellfire has lost most of it's green. I'm moving to the sandbed to see if I can get it back. 21 Tails left, Hellfire right.

The variation in lighting and cameras make it hard to buy online. That's what happened to me with the 21 Tails. It looked different on the site from my Indo gold colony. I took the chance and it ended up being exactly what I already had.

The whole naming thing is very frustrating and is about to get a whole lot worse lol.
I don’t know if you’re into HG but there are a bunch of wild hg and they look very different than the standard ones (although in time they may be same)

Thanks. Yeah its really bad. I've got a couple that I don’t even know anymore. I'm trying to ID this guy on the right. It's very close to the Dagon Soul that I had but it doesn't have the green mouth and much more pink and orange.

It looks very similar to my RRU Holy Grail V1. Some has considered it as an original holy grail torch. But that designation is now more associated with ASD HG. Here is the same torch in different lighting. Mine has been in aquacultured for a few years. It has the crinkly, gold color tentacles with an aquamarine center and cream/lavender tips.

Where did you get yours? Was it wild?

I picked up at a Reefstock as a Dragon Soul. I had one already and it didn't have the green center and more colorful. This was a pic before it took a tumble down the rock. Dragon Soul circled.

I got locally from a reefer who has been growing it for years. It’s the same torch as yours. The reason I posted it is because I showed it to a few people who are really into torches and most haven’t seen it before. There’s a new type of “Malaysian HG” that I’ve seen pop up recently that looks very similar so I wanted to see if others also have this strain. I really love this strain.

Does it maintain its colors? what kind of par do you keep it under? How is the growth rate on it?

LOL. Probably from the same reefer. I am not in NYC but it did come from a reefer there. The one pictured I just got about a month ago. I had one a bit over a year ago and it died 3 months into my tank, so I don't have a long term report. But it goes well for the person I got it from and the color looks the same between the 2 specimens that I got. I have it around 150-175 PAR.
