I usually keep my torches lower in water column, but I also have 300-350 par at the top of my tank. I tried a torch higher but it began losing color so I moved it and it regain the color. I attach my torches to a piece of larger rubble and leave on sand bed

Would it be better to put it on the rock below the Duncan coral?Just wanna make sure it doesn’t sting anyone

That looks far enough away from the duncan. With placement I always watch the coral for color change and making sure enough flow exists. With my gyres I have better flow at the bottom than the top and torches like flow to help keep them clean

I’m gonna try placing it there and I’ll watch it the next few days.I have one of the return nozzles facing towards that corner so hopefully that helps keeping it clean and getting enough flow without overdoing it
