Hi everyone , I have a torch that is doing fairly well, however, I have zoas growing on the base , does anyone recommend kalking them? Or are they fine as is

I dont have an answer for your question..but that is freaking awesome. I see my next aquascape action.

(my opionion is tha tyou are fine. The torch will stick the zoa and kill it if it gets to close..but I cant say for sure)

Thanks for the input and thank you! Pandora zoas are weeds haha , I’m just worried it will somehow mess with the skeleton calcification

Nah bro you're good.

If you see the matte growing up on the skeleton, then I would intervene and pull it back a bit. I've got multiple colonies of zoas and palys alive on torch Island from days gone past. Torches keep them in check.
 
Thanks guys , I had the kalk gun locked and loaded but the zoas will live for another day it seems
