Hey all, just recieved this torch a week ago. Just caught it pooping 😂. But, noticed the shape of it. Is it splitting, and is it splitting into multiple heads? Almost shaped like a clover.

Possibly. Torches can expel waste after feeding, but they can also 'poop' or expel mucus/material when adjusting to a new environment. It's hard to tell from shape alone, but if you look closely at the skeleton and mouth area over the next few weeks, you may see multiple mouths forming, which is a good indication of additional heads developing.

Since it's only been in the tank for a week, some stress from acclimation is definitely possible. I'd watch its extension, coloration, and whether it stays inflated consistently over the next couple of weeks. If it's opening well and showing good polyp extension, that's usually a better sign.

I Just placed it off the rack to that spot 3 days ago, before it was expelling it was as happy as ever. Extension and color looked great. I will keep an eye and see if i get lucky with multiple heads in a go.

Based on the photo though, I would lean towards splitting!

yeah it’s likely splitting into 4 heads. My dragon soul split from 1 to 12 in a year but for holy grail it is much slower.
