Yeah, that was the weird part for me too. It didn't feel like it was drilling. I had planned on drilling the back but because of the drilling from both sides my drill wouldn't fit inside the tank to drill from that side, so I just changed the plan and drilled the side which actually worked out better for my setup anyway. One of the keys to successfully drilling was water on the drill site as well.

SUCCESS! both holes drilled with little to no chip out. went to three different store to find a 10 gallon today, i thought i may have broke them all haha. third time was definitely a charm. paint will be dry in an hour or so and then its plumbing time. phone is dead but i will take some pics as i get it together...

And it has water. The super nano overflow from glass holes is dead silent. Also glad I drilled for the loc line return kit. With out a bulb over the tank you can't even see the overflow box.

My mag3 out of the box ran for 5 minutes, then made a horrible noise. I opened the cover and nothing is in it and the shaft looks fine to me. I borrowed a small pump from a friend for now and will be trying to get the mag3 fixed ASAP.

Pics are uploading now. So far no leaks.

Next up will be building my own frag racks out of acrylic rods and sheeting.

So I drained the ten gallon and went to move it so I could attach some power strip to my stand. And then "crack" water starts pouring out of the bottom. It had about 3 gallons left and I'd say about two came out before I could disconnect everything and get it outside.

The lesson for this, plan ahead, and think before moving anything haha.

Time to track down another ten gallon to paint and drill...

I thought maybe this tubing is too stiff and as soon as that thought finished, crack.

Way to go Dave, way to go.

I'll be picking up another 10 gallon tomorrow to drill and paint and get running.

Black acrylic 1/4" sheet, clear 1/2" rods, plasdrill bit, plastic saw blade, and weldon 4 incoming!

Replaced the ten gallon I cracked and got it running.

Now FedEx says the par38 will be here tomorrow. I'll find out when I wake up haha. So close to being done with this build. Then it's time to start filling the rack!

Just about done with racks 2 and 3. I'm hoping to finish all them tonight but I can only drill half the holes before the bit starts heating up too much for my liking. Going to finish the second half of holes on the 3rd rack now.
