Hi Reef fam,

First post and my first tank. Going for a mixed reef with maybe 8 or so fish. Been absorbing as much as I can over the past few months and have built out a 75G IM with a hydros controller collective. ATO/salinity/heating/auto feeding dialed. Scaped everything out a few weeks ago and cycle finished earlier this week. Clowns did great in a 2 week carbon/nitrof qt and have been in the tank for 2 days. They already know when it's feeding time with the plank feeder dialed to turn on after return turns off and the left powerhead. Probably need to adjust the powerhead placement but I currently have it running while I feed. I'd like to keep 90% of feeding through the plank and do hand feeds if need depending on the fish. Please check the below photo of powerhead placement. Would you recommend moving it? The sand kicks up in the back. Hoping bacteria buildup stops it from kicking out of the corner. Also looking for fish recs below / coral if anyone cares to include.

With scape in mind, what would you recommend?
Stock goals in order of introduction:
2 clowns (in tank)
2 firefish (prob helfrichi)
Marine Betta
Purple Tang or Butterfly (conflicted)
1 Wrasse (cant decide on type. Love the leopard but tank prob too small)
Yellow watchman goby
Cleaner Shrimp
CuC hermits and snails

*decided not to do cardinals or chromis

Coral recs would be greatly appreciated

Appreciate it if you made it this far

Yep I made it through. ;)
Pretty fancy set up.
No tang or butterfly, others seem fine.
Just remember that the two clowns may/will/can become quite territorial and bossy, especially being in there first and together.
Nice set up.

Thank you and I plan to use a large breeder box to minimize any bullying in the early stages but we’ll see how it goes

Tank is loaded with coral. Unfortunately I lost a head on a hammer due to low alk which I’ve since bounced back from. More coral than probably one would advise but I’m seeing amazing growth already when comparing older photos to current. I may have been a bit of a degenerate with the Harry’s Marine Life bogo on coral lol

Siphoning any build up in the sand during weekly 10% water changes. I also mix the sand a bit during the week if I see cyano build up.

Time to get some more cuc.

Current cuc:
- 7 trochus snails
- Mexican turbo snail
- Electric blue hermit
- emerald crab (in sump, banned for nipping at the middle acro)
- Dosing a large amount of pods at the end of every month along with daily phyto
