Hi, So looking to go for hyposalinity in my DT ( how long do I do this for 4 or 6 weeks) - have transferred all corals into a new tank - along with a bunch of live rock. Used about 80% of the water from the DT and 20% new water.

Don’t have a sump or external filter just a internal one for flow. What sort of things should I expect with the maintenance and what parameters should I keep a check on ?

What are you battling in your display? I would just keep an eye on all of your nutrients. Also Alk Cal mag will probably be consumed alot faster in a smaller tank so keep a close eye on them!

Sounds like you're in for a three month fallow period (well...really 2.5, but we like rounding). How large is the fallow tank? It might be beneficial to just do weekly 100% water changes if it's a small tank.

Form or function: Do you consider your rock work to be art or the platform for your coral?
