Transferring Acro from plug

Hi guys new to the hobby of growing Acro, I got this Acro on a plug and was going to glue it to my live rock but I forget to do it and now it’s growing a lot on the plug. What’s a good way to deal with this situation? Should I cut half of it to my live rock or should I cut from the bottom? Or should I wait till it branch and cut of a branch and let this one be the mother colony ?

Cut the stem and keep the rest of the plug, the Acro will eventually overgrown the plug

I like to snip the bottom of the frag plug and use puddy to attach it to the rockwork. The acro will encrust over the plug and the puddy eventually. If the acro hasn't encrusted on the plug much i'll break it off and reglue it to my rock, but if its encrusted I puddy the whole frag plug to my rock :)

This is my tank and I was planing to have all kind of sps on that main branch, if I stick the plug on it will have a bump on it that’s why I was planing to cut the Acro off. But I will see if where I can puddy the plug and hide it from viewing ha

If it currently looks like it does in the picture and hasn't completely encrusted the top, many times you can use a razor blade to get under an edge and force it to pop off the plug. If you have bone cutters, you could cut the stem off the bottom and trim away the sides of the plug to make it smaller, then use epoxy to mount what remains of the plug to your rock.

If you do leave the plug disk full size, mold a little epoxy around the edges to ramp it down to the rock. Once it encrusts there won't be a well-defined transition from plug to rock.
