Woke up to my tank leaking and decided it’s time to to downgrade a bit.

My question is, do I need to recycle the new tank? Or can I use the old water and be OK?

The only thing I would need to replace is the sand since it dried out while waiting for the new tank.

I currently have everything crammed in a small old QT tank.

If your liverock stayed submerged and is established and full of life you should be fine.
RInse the crap out of the old sand and use it. Use new water.
