I have a colony of Zoanthus that has some clove polyps interspersed throughout. New polyps are popping up randomly. I’d like to be able to take one or two of the clove polyps and transplant them elsewhere, but I’m not sure how because I can’t get to the base of the stolon to cut it.
My primary concern is disturbing the zoanthus colony as little as possible, as I somehow managed to get a small amount of palytoxin in my eyes when carefully placing them the tank and I’m still suffering a bit. So I’m understandably cautious about just poking around willy nilly (I have some big gloves arriving tomorrow). I also have never fragged a coral before.
Thank you for your help.
