Hello.

I recently upgraded to a larger tank from one that I have had for 1.5 years. My YWG disappeared for awhile but we found him hanging out in a hole with a peppermint shrimp. I hadn't seen him eat in about 5 days. Today he was out and was frantic in terms of eating and swimming the glass. I noticed that he has quite a bit of fin rot. I tried to catch him, but no luck.

Any suggestions on options for treatment within a reef tank with coral and many other fish? Everyone else looks fine.

I do not think thats a lot of fin rot. I would continue feeding as you did in the past - as Long as the parameters in the new tank are 'normal'

May be fin ray damage especially seeing what may be a bruise or even a scuffle with shrimp??
Assure good water quality and diet as I dont see an immediate need for treatment (at least yet) but keep an eye on it for healing and not actual rot

PS - the fish itself looks thin - which did not happen within the last week etc - perhaps its old-age?

Thanks for the help. He looked good when I put him in two weeks ago when I added him to the tank. I am not sure his age. He was good size when I bought him from the fish store.
