Both my pairs right now are black ocellaris. They never want to leave there Rbta/gbta. Each to there own, I have kept clowns for 20 plus years never got interested in raising the fry though. I don't claim to be the clown king just telling what has worked for me. Never touched the fish so sorry do not feel I "forced" anything. They are the ones that decided to say put since the introductions. Nice list though. Good luck op.

Which clown would be more likely to be attracted to the RBTA, the Maroon or Ocellaris? Gonna move my perc so I can get some clown to befriend my RBTA....
I would say maroon. I have never seen one not go straight for the first nem they saw.

Yes maroons love nems but I got my juvenile pair of snowflakes to host by dropping their pellets right onto the nem.. That's all it took I've tried all the other methods before and never worked.
Trust me you don't want maroons. Here's a vid of my mated spawning pair I had but were tooo mean so I sold them

Mean to everything. Especially when hosting a nem, the female I have drew blood a few time when I had my hand in the tank..

To other fish smaller than the clown. I know someone with a maroon...nickname "Evil Nemo" He has killed a few gobies, a blenny and even a pseudochromis...only likes the hippo tang.
You could try black n white percs or wild caught percs. Those also normally go in to a nem within a week or two. False percs seem to take their jolly time (months).
My occelaris clowns hosts in everything from open brains to frogspawns.
My Grade B Picasso hosts in alot of things but mainly zoas.
My pair of maroons hosts in zoas,chalices,and anemones.
I think you should get whatever clown you truelly want and just be patient. Because most of the time they will end up hosting,it just takes longer for the "host thing" to click with some clowns compared to others..

Have you tried holding food only around or in the center of the anemone. So the clowns are kinda forced to go into the anemone, ive made clowns host in the wanted host by doing this. I guess as the get touched by the anemone they realize they like it better than their previous host or something,idk haha.
