Hey Lam, I was curious to know about yours; has it always has a dominant purple striping on it, or did that develop in your care? I've been curious about what might influence the development of certain colors in these mushrooms. Mine recently (in the last year) began to develop some small patches of purple on it, right in the middle of a couple of the red areas. Until then I had been disappointed that I didn't get any purple in mine, but now it has all four colors. In my baby polyps the red stripes seem to come in first, followed shortly after by the green, but the purple seems slow in coming. On the other hand, your doesn't seem to have a lot of green, which makes me wonder if it's totally random or if there's something causing these various pigments to come out. I also notice that a lot of the other "tie-dye" mushrooms out there don't seem to have much in the way of green. Not sure if this is just because of their age/size, or something else. The babies of mine, and when I say babies we're talking about 2-3" polyps have been developing the green around the same time as the red, so it seems it can come out pretty close to in tandem, but I still don't see any purple in the babies, just the adults. Hmmm.

How are the Little one doing ?
Is there a chance to get a couple of updated pictures ?

If I can not find one to purchase.
The second best thing, is to look at pictures of them that someone else has.

I have about 4-5 baby's right now im not sure what to do with then two larger polyps. Deffinitly the best looking thing under reefbright's i have seen in a long time. I love the green those because under normal light the green is still visable across the room.

Troylee & M & M,
Thanks for sharing your pictures.

The more I see them,
The more I think of getting one for myself.

I have found one for sale,
Just seeing what I can take to the Pawn Shop to afford it.

Back from the Pawn Shop,
I still need a lot,
I did not get much for my wife

The are a nice looking Shroom,
No wonder they are hard to find.

Edit: The niceness is part of it for sure ( I agree, but --->). Unfortunately these are a very slow growing/reproducing shroom. They also are only very rarely imported, and usually as single polyps.

The niceness has nothing to do with it.
It has a small percentage to do with it,
If they were Ugly, no one would think twice about them.

If anyone has any of these for sale, PM me please! Will have to wait till the weather is better but would love to own a couple of these gorgeous shrooms. Next question...when you cut off the foot and it grows another head, what do you do with the original head? Do you put it in a cup with netting, let it float around a frag tank till it grows another foot?
