Resurrecting thread - I received a trident NP on release.
The unit has been functioning perfectly up until about a week ago where it is not reading 0 n and 0 p.

I cleaned the unit, calibrated and reprimed all reagents and sample.
Still the same result.

Are there any suggestions before I reach out to Neptune support?

What’s your Hanna says? It’s possible that you are indeed at/near zero? Yes, I’m an optimist! lol

Re-calibrate using tank water results using Hanna. Plus after that, test a few times until it reflects the results of the NP reflects the input you have. That's a weird quirk in the calibration process. Also, don't feed or do anything that reduce or increase nutrients while this is occurring so it's close enough to the value

Indeed Nitrate was at 0 - but the NP had some random 13 and 18 entries... I should have stated that before.
but po4 is at .223 right now per hanna

I will do this today. I forgot that the newer update allowed you to put in your own test values.

It would not hurt to send Neptune a ticket. Just to get that ball rolling. Part of the reason is that they will ask you to confirm what firmware and AOS you are running. I am not suggesting that you upgrade but I do know there have been some updates.

If you go the route of calibrating using your test results my advise is to:

1. Collect a pint of water from the area that your sample line is in
2. Preferably 2 hours or so before the next scheduled test
3. Run 4 to 5 manual tests using the water collected
4. After that, remove any result that is out of bounds, not normal, and average. These will be the numbers you plug into the calibration task.
5. Once you have these results - move the sample line to the same water you just manually tested from
6. Follow the calibration task / video using the manual calibration - Paul will walk you though it

The key here is that you are using the same water that you ran the manual tests to calibrate. It is also before the next schedule test. Assuming you are not dosing or adding stuff in this window you should have a calm period to do this.

Of course rule out other things such as making sure dosing lines, and ATO top off, are not near your sample line(s).

Good luck.

Edit: here is an example I did recently:

I have an np that read .01 when Hanna reads .09. It’s 2 months old. Just changed reagents. Waited and calibrated like they said to from my support ticket. Still reads .01. But when it calibrated it only used 1/2 inch of fluid out of calibration bottle. Was I supposed to prime the sample line when I put it in the cal solution? Neptune won’t answer that question when I put in support ticket on first set of reagents. They just wanted to sell me $25 calibration solution.

You can calibrate with tank water. That's using the latest update.

But yes, you should prime first with the calibration solution before calibrating with it so it clears the tank water in the lines before calibration fluid. Then do the same when adding it. back to your tank.
