Trochus Snail size

So everywhere I look I see the max size of Trochus Snails listed as 1”. I have three mammoths that’s are 2” in diameter and 2” tall! Am I alone or are others seeing this as well?

My banded trochus are only around 1" diameter

Wow I have never seen one 2“ .. that’s huge, larger than a golf ball :oops:

It’s crazy! I have two or three that stayed at 1”. I don’t know what these three got into.

I have 9 that have grown over 1 inch in diameter and from what I can tell are still growing.
One thing I found strange is they have not multiplied.
As I understood its almost impossible for them not to, but nothing in my case.
