Best new way to mount corals. Tropic Eden’s moldable rock. It is a nylon and aragonite mixture that softens in hot water and hardens quickly once cooled. A single bead is perfect and holds most corals solid in place. I still use the glue sandwich method but this stuff is extremely strong and does not crumble like regular 2 part expoxy but still is easily cut with bone snips.

Best part is it’s reusable. If you soften 12 beads and only use 8, you just put the other 4 back in the container to reuse later. I felt like I always overmixed epoxy and ended up wasted a lot. Plus zero smell to this stuff unlike regular epoxy and it does not stick to your hands at all.

Premium aquatics sells the tropic Eden brand.

Following, going to look at it later, if it's cost effective I may pick up some to review.

I stocked up on a bunch since I like using these so much. Also picked up 200 of the sample bags while they were on sale.

Curious what others thoughts are that have used them.

I love the Tropic Eden frag plugs. I saw this stuff but was wary, no idea why as everything from them is awesome. The frag plugs, the rocks, sand, etc.

Any impact on your skimmer ?
Overflowing or anything like that ?

Without a doubt. Easy to attach a vinyl label to as well.

They send you a bunch if you buy the morocca rock to repair any damaged pieces. Im going to see how a bunch will hold together 2 smaller pieces of rock for aquascape purposes

How do you heat up the beads? I just pour some very hot water on them and let them sit in a small glass jar. Sometimes they stick to the jar. Not sure if there is a better way.
