Tropic Marin Balling part B: Na2CO3 or NaHCO3 or a mix of the two?

Is it known whether TM part B is soda ash, bicarbonate or a mix of the two? If a mix - in what proportion?

I believe the normal Balling is recipe is mostly bicarbonate, but I do not know if it has some carbonate or how much.

I'm not sure why you are asking, but you can make your own higher pH part B using sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide, and still use Balling part C.

Thanks @Randy Holmes-Farley. I currently use TM part B, but I have access to raw products Na2CO3 and NaHCO3, so I could make it myself cheaper. As you say, I don't think it affects pH too much, so I will probably switch to bulk NaHCO3.

That sounds like a fine plan, although most folks dosign their own are also wanting a pH boost.
