How long have the clowns and anenome been in the tank together? Does the clown show any interest in any other
Clowns been in for a year, anemone about 4 months, they go near but but never enter. They seem to host a corner of my tankHow long have the clowns and anenome been in the tank together? Does the clown show any interest in any other corals?
Really? I have seen many videos of this getting great success. You should just let them find it on their own. Forcing them to host does more harm than good
I have released them back into the main tank, they went straight back to the cornerI created this perspex enclosure to try to get my clowns to host an anemone, its been 2 days so far and nothing, how long should I wait before giving up.
Pour some water into the top of that... the current kind of forces the fish down. Force is a strong word, it encourages themI created this perspex enclosure to try to get my clowns to host an anemone, its been 2 days so far and nothing, how long should I wait before giving up.
Wow that looks fantastic, so pleased for you.I know that this does not help answer your question, but I noticed that one of my three clowns started hosting today. The nem went into the tank on Tuesday night and I suspect that it is using it as cover since it may be a bit more stressed out being #3.
So far, it is mostly interested in the bottom of the nem and these were ORA clowns I believe.
I had a 3rd nem after losing its mate (took down the tank they were in). The other pair chased it into the overflow where it lived for 6 months. 2 of those months I didn't know it was still alive! He's now in my observation tank for good with a new buddy. And a nem. Hoping they find it. Nem is new. The other pair are also ignoring the nem in that tank. they host a huge blue leather.I know that this does not help answer your question, but I noticed that one of my three clowns started hosting today.
