So I lost all my dendronephthya and Scleronephthya, because of a ph probe, controller dumped 5 gallons of limewater, so starting again. Just got these. Starting to open. More coming.

I had fairly good success with the Diatoms Thalassiosira weissflogii and T. pseudonana. Those two along with "normal" green phytoplankton species and other sub 25 micron powder foods fed every hour worked well. How long did you have your last ones? And what are you attempting to feed them?

Thanks for the info. One food I'm feeding is shellfish diet. I think it has it. I'll get those diatoms. Many thanks

Both of those species are in Shellfish diet, that should work well. What else will you be feeding? Also how do you have their system set up? Excited to see how this turns out :)

I had the other ones for 3mon. Appx. Some less. I feed sd-reed marine culturing, fuana marin for them. Nannochloropsis aglae paste. Dosing on a timer

patience and let tank age for 4-6mo, before adding corals. Get perimeters zero in. Ph, temp, no3, etc... lots of patience.

Ok guys here's my receipt, our little secret.

Coral sprint, golden pearls, freeze dry cyclopeez, ultra min- d, 12 drops egg white, 5 ml nannochloropsis algae. Finally cheato macroalgae. Blend and strain.

I dose separately shellfish diet and nannochloropsis algae together.
Waiting for reef roids.

The chile coral doing great, others better some not. Trying to get water perimeters tuned in. Sulfur denitrator working. Had to do 30 gallon water change. Nitrates 20ppm. Thought Corals would adjust. They didn't.

I thought I had all bases covered, as regards to calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, no3, po4, ph.
Moral of the story, test, test and retest. No chasing numbers, but being aware of all perimeters, and adjust accordingly.

Ok, just removed all crushed coral from bottom of DT, NO refugium, dedicated sulfur denitrator, chiller inline. 80% nsw. Magnesium, alkalinity, ph, way off. Starting fresh.

Keep you all posted.
