Time to start up my new build thread now that I have a system to be proud of. Picked up this ELOS 160 from a local club member who is moving out of state. The tank and rock may look familiar as he had a build thread here as well. Hopefully I can do the system justice, it is a beautiful piece of equipment.

Here it is shortly after moving it in. Although I didn't center it on the wall to make the waking space to the left of it a bit larger it really does fit the space nicely. The 40g to the right is now retired as of this initial posting.

The Aquatic Life lights will be supplemented with 3 AI Prime HDs since I already had 2. Currently have 4 ATI Blue Plus bulbs in the fixture. The sump is in place, holes drilled through the floor for AWC, ATO and dosing lines. Some slight adjustments will be made to the plumbing.

Cut a hole in the basement ceiling. 1 Brute container for the ATO RO/DI and 1 for the saltwater for the AWC. Ran a total of 6 lines down, 2 for AWC, 2 for dosing, 1 for ATO and 1 for Trident Waste. DOS units have not been setup yet but will be shortly. ATO and Trident are working though. 2 Lines ran through the wall into the laundry room, 1 for AWC waste directly down the drain and 1 for the RO/DI unit.

Sump is all setup and running short of the dosing and AWC lines. A little clean up is still needed but it's getting there. Need to find a more permanent solution for the Trident drain line but it's working for now.

The control panel was a lot more difficult than I imagined and I'm not fully happy with it. It's still a bit of a mess behind with all the wires but they are all up on a shelf and off the floor. And having a spot for my Trident was needed as well. :D For now I plan to run it for a bit without the door just to admire the view but I'm sure I'll put it back on eventually.

I used 120# of CaribSea Ocean Direct Caribbean Live sand as well as a bottle of Dr Tim's One and Only to start the cycle. I will test with ammonia again this week and test to make sure it's ready, and if so the first fish may get introduced this upcoming weekend. But if I have any questions or doubts I will definitely wait.

Oh yeah, I am hopefully getting 25# of live from from Tampa Bay Saltwater this week. Depending on the delivery this could definitely delay the introduction of fish and in fact I fully expect it to. I wanted a few smaller pieces to put in the sandbed to create some "coral islands" with zoas or other corals. The plan is to mainly go LPS dominate with possibly some SPS eventually.

Lighting is a 48" Aquatic Life fixture with 4 ATI Blue Plus bulbs as well as 3 AI Prime

Looks great!

Have you nailed the flow in/out of the tank to get the overflow silent?

Also, which return pump are you using?
I'm pretty happy with the noise, or the lack of it. I usually have a fan and several computers running in the room it is in and I really don't hear it at all. I'm sure the fact that the stand is built like a tank probably helps as well.

I am running a Reef Octopus DC-3500 pump on the middle (3) setting. The return is running wide open. If anything the water level in the aquarium is a little higher than I would like being just under 1" from the top but I really don't want to drop the pump down another setting and reduce flow through the sump any more. Unfortunately I did not have enough space to mount my Neptune flow meter so I'm not sure exactly what my GPH running through the sump is.

And Thank You!!!

Nice looking good! I went with an aquatic life T5 setup on my 75 also, cant wait to set it up.
I really like the light so far. I wish it was easier to move out of the way though. The new dimmable fixture with the wall mount looks pretty slick.

Finally got a filter for my camera today so I've been taking a few new pics. Tank is doing great. A little algae here and there but nothing too bad. The new Kole Tang has been eating it like crazy and staying nice n fat. Hopefully he stops picking on the Watchman Goby. A few pics and some links to a few Youtube vids.
