Does anyone have any tricks on how to get a Tunze 9001 to skim properly? I keep my water levels pretty steady with an ATO but it pumps major amounts of micro bubbles and doesn't skim well. On a NUVO 20.
Thx

If its brand new its going to to that for a while as it breaks in.
after that it takes a little bit trial and error on the height. I had mine a little high above the mark.

I did a major clean on mine and yea its causing me Issues right now.

I've got 2, love em. But in the last I ordered I found they've added a sponge. It has a hole in it for the pump (if running in the recirculating mode)
Otherwise I put a carbon sponge in mine, kills the bubbles very well. It's a 2x1.5 square, with the hole the same size as the round pump parts, more towards the top. I can post a pic if you like later. I know it doesn't work if you use the surface skimmer attachment, but if that's what you're using, I would just put in a solid square of carbon in the clear part.

That would be great, I don't use the surface skimming attachment because the NUVO 20 has surface skimming intakes on it.
Thx, It's greatly appreciated
